Qualifications

  • Relevant PhD degree in robotics or a related field.
  • Documented research experience in imitation learning and control for robotics applications.
  • Proven track record of publications in scientific journals and conferences.
  • Experience in acquiring and managing funded research projects.
  • Strong background in engaging with industrial partners on application-oriented projects.
  • Teaching experience, including supervision of project courses and thesis projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues on the development of core technologies.
  • Manage research projects and raise funding.
  • Conduct lab experiments and participate in industrial applications.
  • Organize and deliver high-quality teaching for undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Supervise BSc, MSc, and PhD thesis projects.

Skills

  • Expertise in sensing technology for biomedical applications.
  • Knowledge of online estimation and adaptive control methods, particularly for medical applications.
  • Familiarity with neural networks and deep learning in medical contexts.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

Education

  • PhD in robotics or a related field is required.

Tools

  • Experience with medical robotics, computer vision, experimental design, and data analysis is preferred.
