Job summary

This role involves working as an Associate in the Planetary Health Investments’ Buyout team, focusing on investments that promote sustainability and resource efficiency. The position is based in Copenhagen and requires participation in the entire investment lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities to active portfolio management.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate development/M&A.
  • Strong transaction experience, including M&A processes, due diligence, valuation, financial modeling, and investment analysis.
  • Excellent academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • High proficiency in financial valuation and modeling, along with commercial due diligence capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills, thriving in a dynamic international environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Motivated by excellence and a desire to create long-term value through impactful investments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and review complex financial models and valuation analyses.
  • Conduct commercial, strategic, and financial analyses of investment opportunities.
  • Manage due diligence workstreams across various domains.
  • Prepare materials for investment committee meetings and support decision-making.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and assist in value creation initiatives.
  • Contribute to board preparations and strategic projects for portfolio companies.
  • Collaborate with the Green Tech Scaling team on growth equity opportunities.

Education

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from a top-tier university.

  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to assess business models and industry dynamics.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with a structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
