Associate Environmental Sustainability Engineer

Job summary

The Associate Environmental Sustainability Engineer is responsible for supporting sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and enhancing long-term sustainability performance. This role involves developing solutions to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, and waste, while integrating sustainability into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience with a foundational understanding of environmental engineering principles and sustainability concepts.
• Facilities engineering experience and knowledge of LEED or other building certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate engineering solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, waste, and water consumption.
• Conduct environmental performance analyses and recommend corrective actions based on findings.
• Support the evaluation and implementation of renewable energy options and low-carbon technologies.
• Perform technical feasibility assessments for sustainability initiatives and ESG reporting activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize building systems for energy efficiency and improved environmental performance.
• Advocate for innovative solutions to reduce sustainability footprints.
