Associate Director, Outsourcing Management (Biotechnology, Remote)

Job summary

This leadership position is focused on overseeing the sourcing and contracting processes for Technical Operations services, particularly in Clinical Drug Supply. The role involves collaboration with external service providers and aims to implement strategies that enhance value while minimizing risk and cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing planning and execution for clinical drug supply services.
• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including the development and execution of RFPs.
• Oversee vendor evaluation and due diligence for both new and existing suppliers.
• Facilitate vendor selection decisions and lead contract lifecycle management, including negotiation and execution of agreements.
• Act as the coordinating contract manager for clinical drug supply sourcing activities.
• Manage vendor governance and performance, including chairing governance meetings and driving issue resolution.
• Develop and manage category strategies within the assigned area.
• Advise stakeholders on best practices in supplier performance and risk management.
• Contribute to the improvement of global procurement and vendor governance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Over 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven experience in clinical drug supply vendor management or clinical outsourcing.
• Strong understanding of clinical development and technical operations processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration and project management skills.
• Proactive and results-oriented mindset with excellent negotiation skills.
