About the role

Job summary

The role involves supporting the Technology Procurement team as an Assistant Category Manager, focusing on software procurement. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to implement category strategies effectively and manage supplier relationships.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in IT Procurement, preferably in the Software category.
  • Strong understanding of various software types and experience in negotiating contractual terms.
  • Familiarity with strategic sourcing and the full procurement process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across different levels of seniority.

Responsibilities

  • Execute procurement projects and category activities in collaboration with Technology stakeholders.
  • Conduct spend analysis to identify cost drivers and opportunities for cost-effectiveness in the Software category.
  • Perform market and supplier research to identify and engage new suppliers.
  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships, including conducting business reviews.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation, cost, and process improvements.

Skills

  • Strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Structured approach to work with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Education

  • Relevant educational background in procurement, business, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools is advantageous.
