Analytics Engineer (Remote, Global)

Job summary

An Analytics Engineer is sought to contribute to the Innovation & Automation group within Analytics & Insights. This role involves building evaluation and governance systems for products that influence commercial decisions, such as forecasting and campaign optimization. The position is part of a collaborative team focused on establishing standards and frameworks in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python with a focus on clean, production-ready code.
• Strong SQL skills for efficient query writing and data model understanding.
• Experience with REST APIs as a consumer.
• Familiarity with model or pipeline lifecycle management, including deployment and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience in operating AI/ML or data systems in production.
• Solid foundation in data engineering principles, including data quality and pipeline reliability.
• Exposure to CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop evaluation frameworks for AI outputs, including automated benchmarks and human-in-the-loop reviews.
• Implement observability features in AI systems to monitor accuracy and detect drift.
• Design deployment pipelines for AI products, including model serving and workflows.
• Establish AI governance through quality gates and systematic reviews.
• Create reusable templates and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes.
• Collaborate with Digital Product teams and the Data Office to build and launch AI products.
• Assist in testing and onboarding new platform capabilities with the Data Office.

Skills

• Experience with the Databricks stack, including Unity Catalog and MLFlow, is a plus.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Familiarity with LLM-based systems and prompt engineering.
• Experience in building internal developer tools or reusable templates.

Education

• Relevant degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in analytics engineering or data science.

Tools

• Proficient with GitHub Actions and other CI/CD tools, as well as infrastructure management tools like Terraform.
