Analytical Chemist (On-site, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting analytical instruments, specifically LC-MS systems, to support drug discovery projects. The position requires collaboration with various internal teams and focuses on high-throughput analysis and purification of small molecules.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a relevant technical or scientific field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of experience with LC instruments from multiple suppliers, or ten years of relevant experience for laboratory technicians.

Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance of analytical and preparative LC-MS systems.
• Ensure optimal operational state of LC and MS instruments, including CLND detectors.
• Provide software support for LC and MS software packages.
• Supervise users of LC-MS systems.
• Purify oligo conjugates and other compounds using LC systems.
• Manage spare parts inventory for all instruments.

Skills

• Proficiency in running analytical and preparative samples on various LC-MS platforms.
• In-depth understanding of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry.
• Hands-on experience with maintenance of different LC-MS systems.
• Competence in manual and automated sample preparation.
• Familiarity with Agilent ChemStation, MassHunter, Waters MassLynx, and Shimadzu LabSolutions software.
• Experience with third-party analytical software such as ACD Labs and Mnova.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English.

Education

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a relevant field preferred.
