About the role

Job summary

The Aircraft Material Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of aircraft parts and materials at SAS Technical Operations in Copenhagen. This role involves performing inspections, verifying documentation, and maintaining data records while supporting logistics and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong IT skills with operational systems and databases.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • A valid driving license and forklift certificate.
  • Structured, quality-focused work ethic with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Positive attitude towards learning and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the aviation industry and familiarity with EASA Part-145 or AMOS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections to identify defects and transport damage.
  • Verify that received parts have correct documentation and comply with EASA Part-145.
  • Ensure compliance with service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and technical standards.
  • Maintain component data in SAS MMIS (AMOS).
  • Handle claims and returns per company procedures.
  • Support warehouse operations, material storage, and logistics activities.
  • Collaborate with Remote Receiving and Aircraft Records departments.
  • Participate in audits, projects, and training activities.
  • Occasionally assist with other logistics functions.

Education

  • Relevant experience or education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with operational systems and databases, specifically AMOS, is beneficial.
