AI Enablement Specialist (Engineering Productivity)

Job summary

This position focuses on integrating AI capabilities into engineering workflows within a hardware R&D environment. The role involves collaborating with mechanical, electronics, and software teams to develop practical AI tools that enhance engineering productivity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transforming AI/LLM capabilities into practical workflows or internal services.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering, computer science, IT, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, automation, and backend development in languages such as Python, C#, or Rust.
• Familiarity with engineering tools and environments, including Git, CAD/PLM systems, and data visualization tools.
• Strong ability to understand engineers' needs and translate them into secure, maintainable solutions.
• Pragmatic approach focusing on practical improvements and enterprise security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI-enabled tools like chatbots and engineering assistants.
• Connect AI solutions to existing tools and knowledge sources used by engineers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype, integrate, and document solutions.
• Ensure that solutions are useful, secure, and adopted by users.

Skills

• Experience with AI/LLM tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on user needs.

Education

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering, computer science, IT, or a similar field.

Tools

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Azure, Confluence, PLM, SolidWorks, Altium, LabVIEW, TestStand, PowerBI, and databases.
