Accounting Specialist (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves managing end-to-end accounting and finance operations for a multi-entity organization, ensuring compliance and accuracy in reporting across various jurisdictions, particularly in the crypto sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years in accounting, finance operations, or controllership roles with full ownership of financial close and reporting.
• Experience in web3 or crypto companies is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP accounting standards.
• Proven track record in multi-entity accounting and cross-jurisdiction operations.
• Familiarity with crypto accounting practices, including wallets and exchanges.
• High integrity and strong documentation skills.
• Excellent written communication skills for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain the general ledger and manage journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and maintain an audit-ready documentation process.
• Manage bookkeeping across all entities and maintain intercompany operations.
• Lead crypto transaction accounting and ensure proper reconciliation of crypto balances.
• Deliver management-ready financial reports and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Maintain visibility of fiat and crypto accounts and support payment operations.

Skills

• Proficiency in Xero and Cryptio for accounting and reconciliation.
• Basic SQL or data analysis skills are a plus.

Education

• Relevant degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
