Accountant

Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial data while building a scalable accounting ecosystem. This role involves close collaboration with the Team Lead Accounting to facilitate efficient month-end and year-end closes and to support subsidiaries in various countries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of German tax and accounting standards (HGB); knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
• Experience with modern ERP/Accounting tools and a focus on automation.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in DATEV, Lucanet, and Google Sheets; strong analytical skills.
• Fluent in German (C2 level) and English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize financial ledgers for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead Accounting for timely month-end and year-end closes.
• Prepare documentation for annual audits and act as an internal expert for auditors.
• Drive the implementation and optimization of accounting tools to enhance digital capabilities.
• Review accounting topics and ensure data integrity while minimizing manual processes.
• Support technical consolidation and alignment of international subsidiaries.
