About the role

Job summary

The role involves assessing and documenting Transaction Monitoring risks while supporting the design and governance of risk-based Transaction Monitoring processes within the banking sector. The position is part of the Financial Crime Prevention team, focusing on ensuring that procedures and automated processes are effective and globally implemented.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in Transaction Monitoring within the banking industry.
  • Strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and Transaction Monitoring frameworks.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and document financial crime risks.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain a comprehensive risk assessment framework for Transaction Monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to collect and analyze information relevant to financial crime risks.
  • Prepare risk assessments, governance documents, and reports to support incident management and KPI reporting.
  • Provide advisory support on monitoring processes and act as a trusted advisor on Transaction Monitoring matters.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Tools

  • Familiarity with Transaction Monitoring systems and compliance tools is essential.
