About the role

Job summary

An experienced Field Service Engineer is needed to join a BioProduction Service and Support team, focusing on ensuring optimal performance of scientific instruments, particularly Single Use Technology (SUT) hardware and automation products. This role involves significant travel across Northern Europe, primarily Denmark, to provide technical support and build customer relationships in the bioproduction sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field) or equivalent Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing analytical instruments in the bioproduction sector.
  • Strong electronics and mechanical aptitude with diagnostic skills at the component level.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required, Danish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites across Northern Europe to install, service, update, and repair SUT hardware and automation products.
  • Provide expert technical support and problem-solving for bioproduction equipment.
  • Conduct installations, maintenance, and repairs on high-value analytical instruments.
  • Perform commissioning and qualification of equipment using SAT and IQ/OQ protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve processes.
  • Provide training and technical assistance on instrumentation to customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain records of activities on service management software and provide feedback to management.
  • Support revenue optimization and new product development opportunities.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, MS Office, and service management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in the field.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent Advanced Degree.

Tools

  • Experience with bioproduction equipment, particularly SUT hardware and automation products.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively (50-100% of work time).
