Job summary

This role focuses on test management to ensure high-quality material experiences for products, particularly in the toy industry. The position involves developing and validating testing methods for various materials while contributing to sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in materials testing and test development.
  • Practical knowledge from the ink, paint, or coating industry.
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their application in manufacturing or product development.
  • Experience with spectroscopy and spectral imaging.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Strong problem-solving and innovative thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques (e.g., Power Apps, Power BI).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and validate material testing methods for coatings, inks, plastics, and more.
  • Demonstrate and validate machine learning algorithms for materials characterization using statistical tools.
  • Ensure comprehensive test flows, including sample preparation, execution, data management, and documentation.
  • Utilize scientific methods and data visualization to transform test data into actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new testing and ML-enabled methods at scale.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.

Education

  • BSc or MSc in a relevant engineering or science discipline.

Tools

  • Python, statistical analysis tools, data visualization software (e.g., Power Apps, Power BI).
