Technical Solutions Engineer I (On-site)

Job summary

This role involves delivering technical and process solutions to drive operational excellence within a cloud platform environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting global issues, creating technology and operational processes, and resolving workflow execution blockers in data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with Web Technology, Data or Big Data, Systems Administration, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, and SAP.
• 5 years of experience in troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs, and triaging technical issues.
• Experience managing the full life-cycle of technical projects including design, development, maintenance, and improvements.
• Proficiency in reading code in languages such as Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot data center blockers and stakeholder concerns for swift resolution.
• Design, improve, and iterate on internal tools, software, and automated frameworks to streamline issue management.
• Create standardized technical playbooks and processes for issue management by the Server Operations team.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Server Operations to identify and resolve root causes of negative business outcomes.
• Manage project schedules and timelines, engaging with cross-functional partners and participating in on-call duties or shift rotations.

• Strong technical background supporting multiple backend systems with interdependencies.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

Tools

• Familiarity with cloud computing and backend application development or shell scripting is preferred.
