Tech Lead, Video Conferencing & Screen Sharing (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves leading a small team responsible for the entire video conferencing and screen sharing experience across multiple platforms. The Tech Lead will spend approximately 60% of their time tackling complex technical challenges while also focusing on team development and growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical leadership role, such as a staff engineer or tech lead.
• Strong background in real-time media technologies, including WebRTC and streaming.
• Experience with integrating software across various platforms, including Teams, Zoom, Meet, and Webex.
• Ability to optimize user experience for first-time users in a conferencing environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical direction and architecture of the team’s projects.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to support team members' professional growth.
• Ensure a seamless user experience for joining calls and screen sharing across different platforms.
• Lead the team in achieving year-one outcomes related to user experience and system integration.

Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of media pipelines and cross-platform client development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in integrating diverse systems.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a technical field preferred.
