Tech Lead

Job summary

The Tech Lead is responsible for guiding teams in the development of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. This role emphasizes technical leadership, architectural guidance, and fostering a collaborative environment to enable team autonomy and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Over 6 years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Proven experience in developing microservices and cloud-based solutions.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript (Node.js, Nest.js) and familiarity with cloud environments like AWS.
• Knowledge of test-driven development, test automation, and cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Experience with ElasticSearch, queues, non-SQL datastores, and high-scale applications.
• Advantageous: Familiarity with Stripe, Mobilepay, Financial Flows, and OCPI.

Responsibilities

• Help the team understand the purpose behind initiatives and desired outcomes.
• Co-plan initiatives with Product Managers and Designers to align technical goals with product objectives.
• Facilitate architectural discussions and guide trade-off analyses.
• Lead solution design and system performance improvements while empowering team contributions.
• Champion coding standards, design patterns, and review processes to ensure high-quality releases.
• Monitor system health and improve team flow by removing obstacles.
• Coach engineers on architectural literacy and foster a culture of trust and feedback.
• Represent the team in cross-team forums to ensure knowledge sharing and consistent decision-making.
