Team Lead - Security Architecture & Engineering

Job summary

The role involves leading the design, implementation, and evolution of security architecture across various platforms in a fintech environment. This position requires a hands-on security professional who can translate business objectives into secure and resilient technology solutions while managing a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the security field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in leading Security Architecture and Engineering functions.
• Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, application security, IAM, and modern security engineering practices.
• Preferred certifications include CCSP, SABSA, and AWS/Azure/GCP Security Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Security Architects and Security Engineers.
• Define and maintain security architecture standards, patterns, and roadmaps.
• Embed Secure-by-Design and DevSecOps practices across the technology lifecycle.
• Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design assurance activities.
• Drive security engineering initiatives across Cloud Security, CNAPP, IAM, Application Security, Data Security, and Security Automation.
• Lead the Virtual Technology Security Committee to prioritize security initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, IT, and GRC teams to manage security risks and enable innovation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure alignment with security strategy and regulatory requirements.

Skills

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive security outcomes in complex environments.

Education

• Relevant educational background in security or related fields is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with security automation tools and secure cloud platforms.
