Team Lead Engineer (Crypto, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading the engineering efforts for a crypto-focused platform, including the development of a spot and derivatives exchange. The position requires designing and implementing high-performance trading systems that handle significant transaction volumes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of backend software development experience.
• Proven experience in building regulated, fault-tolerant financial systems, such as CLOB exchanges or high-frequency trading platforms.
• Strong background in crypto development.
• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build a perpetual futures exchange with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Develop backend services and web applications.
• Ensure high software quality and maintain test coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot incidents.
• Be available for on-call support for urgent engineering projects.

Skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., GoLang, Python, C/C++, NodeJS, Java).
• SQL or relational database expertise.
• Familiarity with Bash, Linux, and Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.

Education

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Tools

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD practices is advantageous. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and microservice architectures is also beneficial.
