Project QC Engineer (Construction, Milan)

Job summary

This position involves managing quality control deliverables for data centre projects, ensuring that inspections, testing, and data integrity are maintained throughout the construction process. The role is site-based and focuses on delivering projects on time and to the required quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QC Engineer or quality inspection role on large construction projects.
• Exposure to data centres, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of inspections, test packs, walkdowns, and handover processes.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, SLDs, and P&IDs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence working across multidisciplinary site teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in promoting a positive quality culture and compliance with EHS requirements.
• Develop and manage Inspection & Test Plans and checklists.
• Track approvals and monitor weld traceability and inspection requirements.
• Plan and conduct walkdowns, track issues, and drive close-out with the project team.
• Liaise with BIM teams to ensure data integrity and implement tracking systems.
• Monitor calibration of inspection equipment and manage compliance with quality standards.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering or construction management.
