Tax Transformation Consultant

Job summary

This role involves managing and supporting clients in meeting their tax obligations while ensuring compliance with local and international tax requirements across various jurisdictions. You will lead tax transformation projects, implement tax compliance solutions, and redesign tax processes and operations.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in managing tax compliance obligations, including indirect tax, direct tax, and VAT reporting.
• Proven experience in delivering or supporting tax transformation projects, including process redesign and operational change.
• Understanding of end-to-end tax processes with the ability to identify pain points and design effective solutions.
• Strong consulting skills, including requirements gathering and client relationship management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess business impacts of decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage client tax obligations and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead and deliver tax transformation projects, including compliance solutions and process redesign.
• Conduct workshops and analyze client needs to develop effective solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor on tax compliance and operational efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while fostering strong client relationships.
• Propose improvements to processes and technologies, including automation and analytics.
• Contribute to proposals and project documentation, ensuring transparency and alignment with stakeholders.

Education

• Relevant educational background in tax, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with tax compliance software and tools for process improvement and automation.
