Job summary

This role involves leading systems engineering projects in the aerospace sector, focusing on electromechanical systems from concept to certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cross-functional systems engineering projects, addressing electrical system challenges.
  • Guide the design and modification of electromechanical systems tailored for aerospace applications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical systems engineers to integrate electrical components and subsystems.
  • Facilitate both ground and flight testing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace certification standards, such as FAR/EASA 23.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace electromechanical system development and certification.
  • Strong expertise in actuator or motor-control electronics, hardware design, and troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Practical knowledge of RTCA DO-254 and the certification process for airborne electronic hardware.
  • Familiarity with key aerospace standards related to avionics systems, software, hardware, and safety certifications.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
