Job summary

This role involves leading survey engineering efforts for offshore wind construction projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards while contributing to sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in offshore wind engineering or construction projects.
  • Academic degree in Hydrography, Geodesy, Oceanography, Offshore Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in executing offshore construction projects, particularly in the offshore wind sector.
  • Strong technical expertise in offshore survey and positioning methodologies.
  • Project management skills including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical specifications and provide support for survey and positioning across multiple projects.
  • Offer technical expertise to stakeholders and stay updated on survey techniques through networking and industry events.
  • Develop and review survey and positioning activities for installation processes, addressing challenges with subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, procurement, and construction for effective project execution.
  • Coordinate with survey subcontractors for offshore projects, ensuring equipment delivery and performance meet project objectives.
  • Align project-specific survey activities with client requirements through coordination with client survey teams.
  • Support quality control and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities to maintain high construction standards.
  • Participate in key offshore or port activities, facilitating communication among vessel crew, offshore teams, and office staff.
  • Develop internal standards and documentation to improve survey and positioning operations.

Education

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Hydrography, Geodesy, Oceanography, or Offshore Engineering.
