Supply Line Engineer

Job summary

The role involves overseeing supplier quality from selection to field deployment, ensuring that quality is integrated into the process rather than inspected at the end.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier or manufacturing quality.
• Proficient in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D methodologies.
• Experience conducting audits in accordance with ISO 9001 and VDA standards.
• Strong technical background, preferably in mechanical engineering.
• Structured and data-driven approach with effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier performance metrics such as DPPM, NCRs, and On-Time Delivery.
• Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and ensure suppliers are prepared.
• Conduct supplier audits and develop improvement plans.
• Utilize root cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Operations teams.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Education

• Relevant degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies.
