Student Assistant (On-site, Chemicals)

Job summary

This role involves supporting the Commercial Data & Software Engineering team in developing a new data platform for the energy and infrastructure sector. The position focuses on frontend development, where the student assistant will contribute to building and maintaining user interfaces, optimizing data handling processes, and collaborating closely with backend developers.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a university or educational institution related to STEM or programming, with at least 1 year of study completed and 1 year or more remaining.
• Demonstrable skills in any programming language, preferably with over 2 years of experience through education, work, hobbies, or personal projects.
• Experience with TypeScript and/or JavaScript, and familiarity with at least one modern frontend framework.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern web application structures.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend functionality across platforms using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Draft design ideas for the platform using design applications like Figma.
• Translate design and product requirements into responsive interfaces.
• Connect frontend components to backend APIs for clear data presentation.
• Contribute to image annotation work to support machine learning models.
• Collaborate with backend developers and take on backend tasks as skills develop.
