Job summary

This role involves analyzing data and developing advanced tools for structural health monitoring in offshore wind farms. The Structural Engineer will focus on maintaining and enhancing in-house monitoring tools, ensuring their effectiveness for asset analysis and reporting on structural integrity.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering
  • Strong understanding of structural dynamics, operational modal analysis, and finite element modeling
  • Proficient in Python programming
  • Systematic and organized work approach
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Assess and improve methods for virtual sensing and operational modal analysis
  • Maintain and develop the in-house structural health monitoring tool
  • Ensure the tool is current and available for asset analysis
  • Perform quality assurance on new tool implementations
  • Report on predicted asset lifetime and reliability, updating inspection plans accordingly
  • Analyze incoming data and provide operational feedback
  • Utilize measurement data to enhance primary steel design methods
  • Conduct primary structure design using in-house design tools

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international team

Education

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field
