Staff Software Engineer (On-site)

Job summary

As a Staff Software Engineer within Investigations, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of customer-facing web features and the APIs that support them. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction of the team and ensuring the delivery of scalable solutions that enhance customer experiences in the cryptocurrency space.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native services on major cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Strong mentoring skills and experience leading cross-team projects.
• Ability to align technical execution with product and design teams, demonstrating a strong bias for shipping and iterating.
• Deep experience with object-oriented programming languages, particularly Java and TypeScript.
• Over 10 years of experience in complex backend and/or frontend systems, including leadership roles.
• Ownership of product ideas from inception to production.
• Good understanding of frontend and backend best practices.
• Experience integrating AI into customer-facing products or engineering infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of cloud-native data ingestion and aggregation processes.
• Deliver features that detect market manipulation, fraud, and behavioral patterns.
• Scale high-performance services on AWS to handle thousands of requests per second.
• Modernize the team's architecture towards a streaming model and establish best practices.
• Drive the development of the graphing platform used across multiple products.
• Debug and resolve production issues, guiding the team through technical challenges.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Skills

• Experience with AI-friendly systems.
• Interest in cryptocurrency technology.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Kubernetes.
