Staff Platform Engineer (Healthcare, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves defining the technical vision and architecture for a healthcare-focused AI platform, enhancing the infrastructure to support scalable and reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Senior Platform Engineer or Senior DevOps position.
• Proficient in containerization and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, including infrastructure-as-code deployment.
• Strong programming skills in languages like Golang and Python.
• Experience with distributed systems management, including CockroachDB, ElasticSearch, or Apache Kafka.
• Proficient in writing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes Operators development and usage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Design and implement automation tools to enhance development and operations efficiency.
• Architect the platform to accommodate company growth.
• Improve developer tools to enhance the developer experience.
• Mentor and share knowledge to elevate engineering capabilities within and beyond the Platform team.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a technical field is preferred.
