Software Test Engineer (On-site, Odense)

Job summary

This role involves ensuring the quality and safety of software for collaborative robots. The Software Test Engineer will work closely with the Connectivity team, focusing on both hands-on testing and Python-based test automation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong skills in developing and maintaining automated tests using Python.
• Experience with manual testing of complex software systems.
• Familiarity with unit, integration, and regression testing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Ability to quickly grasp existing systems and workflows.
• Understanding of AI's role in enhancing work processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests in Python.
• Conduct hands-on testing on real cobots to validate their functionality and performance.
• Create and maintain unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to troubleshoot issues and enhance testability.
• Contribute to the development of test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure high-quality software releases through comprehensive test coverage.

Skills

• Proficiency in Python for test automation.
• Experience with testing methodologies and practices.
• Familiarity with communication protocols like TCP, UDP, HTTP, and ROS2 is a plus.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Tools

• Experience with Docker-based environments and simulation setups is advantageous.
