Software Engineer (On-site)

Job summary

This role involves contributing to the development of a platform designed to optimize maritime operations and reduce emissions. The engineer will work on the agent orchestration framework and collaborate with a diverse team to enhance the platform's capabilities.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Join the Propel Core team to develop and maintain the agent orchestration framework.
• Design and implement features for the platform while ensuring its reliability and performance.
• Engage with vessel operators and domain teams to understand their needs and improve the platform.
• Participate in open design discussions and contribute to clear documentation.

Skills

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Fastify, WebSockets, and REST APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and data persistence solutions.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks like React is a plus.

Education

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Tools

• Experience with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and GitHub Actions is beneficial.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog and testing frameworks like Vitest.
