Job summary

The role involves contributing to the Open Finance Platform Engineering team, focusing on providing cloud-native tooling and application frameworks that enhance developer experience and productivity. The Software Engineer II is responsible for various tasks including design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Beginner to Intermediate skill in software architecture
  • Beginner skill in automation and DevOps
  • Beginner to Intermediate skill in cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Beginner to Intermediate skill in software development
  • Beginner skill in container-based software deployment practices
  • Beginner skill with Kubernetes or managed Kubernetes services
  • Experience or willingness to work in cross-functional and large projects with globally dispersed development resources
  • Ability to write secure code in languages such as C, Golang, Python, Terraform, JavaScript, and familiarity with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT)
  • Beginner to Intermediate skills in CVE management
  • Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) to write interoperable and performant code
  • Familiarity with standard branching (e.g., Gitflow) and peer review practices

Responsibilities

Corporate Security Responsibility

  • Estimate and work on delivery tasks to meet business requirements
  • Automate build, operate, and run aspects of software
  • Participate in code/design/process trade-off discussions
  • Understand status and risks within primary application/service
  • Work on integration of services focusing on customer journey and experience
  • Assist in demos/acceptance discussions with Product owners
  • Improve operational and engineering experience and metrics
  • Develop understanding of end-to-end technical architecture and system dependencies
  • Help adopt technology standards and review coding, testing, and automation work
  • Abide by security policies and practices
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of accessed information
  • Report any suspected information security violations or breaches
  • Complete all mandatory security trainings as per guidelines.
