Software Engineer I (Trust Tech)

Job summary

This role involves joining a newly formed team within the Trust Tech department, focusing on building and maintaining automated systems that enforce platform terms of use for businesses. Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack web development, particularly backend systems.
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of backend development with Node.js.
• Familiarity with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.
• Experience with component-based frontend development, ideally using React.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP.
• A collaborative and feedback-oriented mindset.
• Ambitious and passionate about continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a cross-functional team to take full ownership of products and codebase.
• Implement and release new features focusing on backend stability and scalability.
• Develop solutions for high-volume data processing related to fraud detection.
• Maintain and enhance internal tooling frontends used for investigations.
• Troubleshoot software issues and optimize database performance.
• Engage in technical discussions and adopt best practices for Infrastructure as Code.
• Work with Data Scientists to integrate detection models into systems.

Skills

• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Node.js and backend development practices.
• Understanding of database concepts (SQL and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with frontend technologies, particularly React.
• Experience with AWS or GCP services.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.
