Software Developer in Test (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for web-based SaaS products. The position requires collaboration with developers and product specialists to enhance user stories and improve testability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in QA, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
• Proven experience testing complex web applications, preferably SaaS products.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation tools, specifically Cypress.
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Analyze requirements to identify risk areas and critical test scenarios.
• Document and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Mentor junior SDET team members and promote quality best practices.

Skills

• Strong coordination skills and ability to foster a quality-first mindset.
• Ability to write clear and maintainable test cases and automation code.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Tools

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) and Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence is a plus.
