Senior Software Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain systems that support a modern ledger system, crucial for financial reporting and compliance. You will collaborate with various internal teams to deliver impactful features and ensure the integrity and scalability of backend systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering systems at scale.
• Strong coding skills, preferably in Go.
• Proven ability to write maintainable and defect-free code.
• Experience with IDLs (e.g., protobuf), RPC frameworks (e.g., gRPC), cloud platforms (e.g., GCP), and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with finance, operations, and product teams to deliver high-impact projects.
• Build backend systems with a focus on integrity, maintainability, and scalability.
• Own the delivery of high-visibility features from design to deployment.
• Work with engineering teams to enhance system health.

Skills

• Proficient in coding, particularly in Go.
• Strong debugging skills and the ability to foresee potential issues.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.

Tools

• Experience with distributed systems, event-driven systems, and messaging brokers (e.g., Redpanda) is a plus.
