Senior Software Engineer (Cloud & DevOps, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves backend development and SRE/DevOps practices to build and operate a central platform capability for customer-facing products. The focus is on reliability, operability, and secure engineering in a cloud environment, primarily using Microsoft Azure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in C#/.NET backend development in a cloud setting.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps/SRE roles that combine software development and operations.
• Strong fundamentals in backend engineering, including design, performance, security, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services in the Account domain.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for DevOps topics, driving improvements in CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Collaborate with platform and product teams to align on Azure standards and best practices.
• Define actionable alerts and dashboards, improve runbooks, and build automation for incident management.

Skills

• Experience with API design, automated testing, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with containerized workloads and Kubernetes, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Understanding of Azure monitoring tools and incident handling is advantageous.
• Strong ownership mindset with a focus on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.

Tools

• Proficiency in C#/.NET, Azure services, CI/CD tools, and monitoring/observability platforms.
