Senior Software Engineer (API, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves creating networking products and developing clean APIs for a cloud platform. The position is part of the Cloud Networking Products team, focusing on enhancing customer experiences with networking solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficient in mainstream programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or Go.
• Strong skills in writing, testing, and understanding complex software.
• Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with technical design, product specifications reviews, and project planning.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with non-developer stakeholders.
• Experience in mentoring other developers.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud platform functionality for managing and securing networking.
• Design and implement robust REST APIs for customer and internal use.
• Develop and maintain internal libraries and microservices.
• Write, review, document, and test high-quality Python code in collaboration with the team.
• Review and contribute to architectural and design documents from other teams.

Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for delivering quality work quickly.
• Good communication skills for interaction with leadership and stakeholders.

Tools

• Experience with tools and frameworks such as Python, Docker, pytest, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Flask, Prometheus, and Grafana is beneficial. Curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.
