Senior Software Engineer (AI, Copenhagen)

Job summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Applied AI to develop AI-powered workflows. This hands-on role involves collaborating across product, engineering, and AI to create reliable product capabilities that deliver customer value.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer in production systems.
• Proficient in TypeScript/Node.js or another modern backend language, relational databases, and distributed systems.
• Experience with customer-facing SaaS products.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-powered product capabilities addressing customer needs.
• Enhance retrieval, grounding, and answer quality in AI systems.
• Create evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to assess AI performance.
• Develop shared AI infrastructure and tooling for the engineering team.
• Investigate new AI capabilities for customer value.
• Ensure quality, latency, reliability, security, and cost in production AI systems.
• Collaborate with product and domain experts to improve KYC and compliance workflows.

Skills

• Proven experience in building and deploying AI-powered features for real customers.
• Expertise with modern LLMs and AI platforms in production.
• Knowledge in areas such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, and AI observability.
• Strong analytical skills to understand AI system behavior and design effective mitigations.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
