Qualifications

• Over 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong background in designing and operating distributed systems.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and influence architectural decisions.
• Experience with scalable backend platforms and APIs, particularly those integrating with internal and third-party systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with payments, accounting, and bookkeeping systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable systems for accounting and bookkeeping.
• Lead feature and platform initiatives, overseeing delivery from discovery to production.
• Own features from design through deployment and maintenance.
• Drive architectural decisions and long-term technical improvements.
• Build APIs and services that accurately handle financial data at scale.
• Enhance reliability, observability, performance, and security of the platform.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to achieve technical and product goals.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices in the accounting domain.

Skills

• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, REST APIs, and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like TypeScript, React, and testing frameworks.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
