Job summary

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing technology platforms that support power trading operations. You will work within an agile team, combining hands-on software engineering with technical leadership to shape architecture and drive best practices.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in developing enterprise applications using .NET C#.
  • Strong expertise in modern software engineering practices, including cloud technologies, system design, and DevOps.
  • Experience in designing scalable, distributed systems and making sound architectural decisions.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software.
  • Ability to mentor and support other engineers while raising technical standards.
  • Experience with technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Datadog, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of backend services and APIs using .NET C#.
  • Drive technical architecture decisions ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Build and enhance desktop applications using WPF and integrate systems via Web APIs.
  • Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Leverage AWS Cloud and Kubernetes to deliver resilient, cloud-native solutions.
  • Design and optimize data solutions using MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL.
  • Implement and support event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ and Kafka.
  • Enhance observability through monitoring, alerting, and logging with Datadog.
  • Drive CI/CD best practices using Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, and Argo.
  • Collaborate across teams using Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Work closely with traders, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap and help shape the future direction of platforms and engineering capabilities.

Education

  • Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
