Senior Software Engineer

Job summary

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming technology use within manufacturing and logistics teams. You will be part of a platform team that enables the operation of applications on industrial IoT devices by integrating software, infrastructure, cloud services, and hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience in building production software using TypeScript or a similar modern programming language.
• Proficient in operating Linux or Unix environments for applications and connected devices.
• Skilled in delivering continuous integration and continuous delivery solutions in production settings.
• Familiar with managing containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and its services.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices in environments where engineering teams manage their solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop a technical platform that facilitates application deployment on industrial IoT devices.
• Create backend services and provisioning capabilities for large device fleets.
• Enhance infrastructure to support the deployment, operation, and scaling of containerized workloads.
• Implement engineering practices that improve security, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote platform adoption and continuous improvement.

Skills

• Strong understanding of networking concepts in distributed environments.
• Experience with AWS IoT Core or AWS Greengrass for connected-device solutions.
• Ability to develop user interfaces with React or implement infrastructure as code practices.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.
