Senior Software Development Engineer

Job summary

The role involves working as part of the Application Software development team focused on Linux-based Ethernet switch applications. Responsibilities include developing embedded systems software, creating technical documentation, assisting customers with design issues, and collaborating with marketing for product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in embedded software design.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Knowledge of processors and operating systems, preferably ARM, MIPS, Linux, eCos, and VxWorks.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Understand the functionality and specifications of Ethernet switch products.
• Develop embedded software for Ethernet switches.
• Create user guides and other technical documentation.
• Assist customers with system-level design issues.
• Collaborate with marketing to identify industry trends and support new product development.
• Train factory and corporate applications on the software products developed.

Skills

• Embedded software programming in C/C++.
• Knowledge of ARM, MIPS, Linux, eCos, and VxWorks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Education

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant field.
