Senior Software & Data Engineer

Job summary

This role involves leading the design and maintenance of scalable backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud-native applications to support engineering and renewable energy operations. The position focuses on driving platform integration, data governance, and AI-enabled solutions within the engineering department.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in backend or software engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-native applications.
• Define and implement integration strategies across tools and data platforms.
• Enable data exchange and interoperability across functions.
• Lead the adoption of AI-driven automation and analytics solutions.
• Strengthen data governance and maintain trusted data sources.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
• Drive engineering excellence and best practices in software delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.

Skills

• Strong Python development skills, including REST API experience.
• Proficiency with SQL databases; knowledge of NoSQL and vector databases is a plus.
• Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, testing, and agile development practices.
• Experience with modern data platforms, preferably Databricks, and AI application development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; fluent in English.

Education

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
