Job summary

This role involves contributing to the research and development of qubit measurements within a pioneering quantum computing environment. The position requires collaboration with a diverse team of physicists and engineers to innovate and streamline quantum measurement techniques.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with relevant industry or research experience.
• Ability to meet security screening requirements, including citizenship verification for access to controlled information.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools for innovation and efficiency in experimental setups.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct qubit experiments while identifying innovative opportunities.
• Utilize measurement techniques to advance quantum practices and devices, including low temperature and RF measurements.
• Streamline and automate quantum measurement processes, utilizing instrumentation expertise.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration and document work for internal and external sharing.
• Engage with the public and contribute to outreach efforts in quantum computing.
• Implement engineering best practices to develop tools and processes for quantum research.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and assist in defining safety protocols.

Skills

• Expertise in low-noise electronic measurements and cryogenic techniques.
• Experience with AI tools for performance modeling, task automation, and knowledge retrieval.

Education

• Advanced degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with lock-in amplifiers, analog pre-amps, He3 cryostats, and dilution refrigerators.
