Senior Project Engineer (Offshore Wind, Office-based)

Job summary

The role involves leading and managing technical solutions for offshore construction activities, specifically focusing on foundation projects in the offshore wind industry. The position requires strong relationship management with subcontractors and ensuring safety and efficiency during construction operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, structural engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in project engineering for offshore construction projects, particularly in windfarm foundations (jacket, monopiles, TP, etc.).
• Experience in offshore operations for heavy structures, including transport and installation operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of offshore construction operations and vessel mobilizations.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., LOLER, EN 13001, DNV-ST-N001, DNVGL-ST-0378).
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans for foundation transport and installation.
• Provide technical leadership for offshore foundation installation on vessels.
• Manage conceptual studies, methods, task plans, and risk assessments.
• Specify and manage technical delivery of key equipment and designs for projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders for updates and technical queries.
• Implement safety protocols and oversee quality control measures.
• Monitor equipment implementation offshore and facilitate communication between teams.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and innovations in equipment design.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers in the project engineering team.
