Job summary

The role involves developing and maintaining the infrastructure for an AI-powered platform that enhances merchandising processes in retail and e-commerce. This position is crucial for shaping architectural direction and improving developer productivity within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a platform or infrastructure engineer with a focus on enhancing productivity for engineering teams.
  • Strong architectural instincts and product mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain the cloud platform primarily on AWS using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
  • Create self-service capabilities to streamline processes for product teams.
  • Prepare the platform for brand adoption, focusing on multi-tenancy, isolation, cost attribution, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data science, engineering, and application teams to align the platform roadmap with developer needs.
  • Contribute to a dynamic development environment that fosters innovation.

Skills

  • Expertise in public cloud architecture, preferably AWS (Azure or GCP experience is also valuable).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and infrastructure as code.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.

Education

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) is advantageous.
  • Experience with MLOps or ML-platforms for running AI and machine-learning workloads at scale is a plus.
  • Knowledge of building multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure and interest in agentic AI development workflows is beneficial.
