Job summary

This role involves leading offshore wind operations as a Senior Marine Specialist, focusing on jack-up vessels and heavy-lift campaigns. The position is crucial for ensuring safe and efficient marine operations across a diverse portfolio of offshore assets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in Marine & Offshore Logistics.
  • Proven track record in planning and executing jack-up operations, ideally in the offshore wind sector.
  • Strong understanding of vessel design, performance, and regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with maritime certification, surveys, and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of chartering practices and maritime law.
  • Excellent communication skills for building relationships across international teams.
  • Experience in risk assessments and offshore operational reviews.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably SAP.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to obtain or hold GWO mandatory offshore safety certification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Technical Authority for jack-up vessel requirements and marine operations.
  • Provide technical guidance for major component exchanges and offshore installation campaigns.
  • Support the development of vessel strategies and future heavy-lift concepts.
  • Maintain and enhance vessel vetting processes and performance standards.
  • Participate in tender evaluations and procurement for jack-up vessels.
  • Conduct technical assessments and operational readiness reviews.
  • Support port studies and asset interface reviews.
  • Review vessel performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Guide inspection teams on vessel audits and assessments.
  • Investigate incidents and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
  • Monitor market developments and provide insights on vessel availability.
  • Contribute to innovation projects and evaluate emerging offshore technologies.
  • Represent the organization in external industry forums.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and offshore partners.

Skills

  • Deep marine operations experience with a focus on offshore logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

Tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferably SAP.
