Senior Haskell Developer (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves maintaining and developing new features and integrations as a Senior Haskell Developer in a fully remote setup for candidates located in the EU/EEA. The position offers high autonomy and impact, allowing you to own significant parts of the product domain and improve internal processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial commercial Haskell experience.
• Deep expertise in Haskell, including advanced type-level techniques and performance optimization.
• Proven understanding of engineering best practices for production-quality code.
• Strong analytical skills for reasoning about complex software systems.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI tools in engineering workflows.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• EU work permit or EU citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from ambiguity to delivery, including stakeholder communication and documentation.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Haskell, Elm, and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure high quality and reliability through code reviews and automated testing.
• Deploy and manage systems using Argo CD and Kubernetes.
• Utilize agentic AI tools to enhance productivity and workflow.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the product domain.

Skills

• Advanced Haskell programming and understanding of effect systems.
• Experience with agentic AI tools and sound judgment in their application.
• Strong problem-solving and initiative-taking skills.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred but not explicitly required.
