Job summary

Seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to oversee hardware development and lifecycle management for maritime automation products. This role involves collaboration with software and production teams to ensure reliable hardware solutions in challenging environments.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Several years of experience in hardware development for complex systems.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics and connected devices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware development for new products and upgrades.
  • Manage the hardware release process and coordinate with production partners.
  • Support obsolescence management and end-of-life processes.
  • Introduce new technologies into the product portfolio.
  • Provide production support and manage external manufacturing collaborations.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and design management.
  • Maintain hardware design libraries and product lists.
  • Oversee hardware laboratory setup and equipment management.
  • Collaborate on hardware/software integration with software teams.
  • Ensure compliance with durability and regulatory requirements.

Skills

  • Strong documentation and configuration management abilities.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and hardware release processes.
  • Understanding of type approvals and certification standards.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across teams.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Education

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

Tools

  • Familiarity with hardware design tools and product lifecycle management software.
