Job summary

The role involves leading the development and implementation of a global supplier development strategy that aligns with business objectives, ensuring a robust and resilient supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in supplier development, supply chain management, or procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing global teams and suppliers.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, technology, or consumer goods industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global supplier development strategy.
• Lead supplier performance management efforts, including setting expectations for quality, cost, and delivery.
• Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the global supply chain.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align supplier development with business objectives.
• Foster supplier innovation and technological advancements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key global suppliers.
• Partner with procurement and finance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide training and support for suppliers to enhance performance.
