The Senior Director of Computational Drug Discovery will lead and mentor a global team across two locations, focusing on the computational strategy to support a multi-modal drug development pipeline. This role emphasizes people leadership and collaboration with various scientific teams to enhance in-silico validation and prioritize drug candidates.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Computational Chemistry, Biology, Structural Biology, or a relevant life sciences discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in biopharma R&D, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in drug discovery and computational methods.

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor a world-class computational team, collaborating closely with medicinal chemists and other scientists.
• Serve as Chemistry Lead or Research Project Leader for multiple programs, providing computational leadership.
• Guide the evaluation of targets and modality selection, ensuring robust progression of drug candidates.
• Contribute to the Research AI strategy, focusing on data foundations and machine learning integration.
• Cultivate strategic collaborations and represent the organization at external forums.

Skills

• Strong quantitative expertise in drug discovery and computational methods.
• Experience in structure prediction, drug design, pharmacology, and generative design.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and engage with cross-functional groups.

Education

• Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field.
